22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time (A) 8-30,2026 International Mass and Exchange

 International Mass and Exchange

In our annual schedule, if a month has a fifth week, we celebrate the International Mass on the fifth Sunday.

The fifth week of August was dedicated to a joint International Mass at Nodamachi Church.

The Primary language of the International Mass is Japanese but,
the 1st, 2nd reading and the general intercessions are recited in foreign languages, while the songs for Offertory and Communion are sung in English and Tagalog

The second reading was read in Vietnamese

G.I. in Japanese, English, Vietnamese and Tagalog

   

After the Mass the International Exchange gathering was held.

Representative dishes from Vietnam, the Philippines, South Korea,
Rwanda, the United States and Japan were served.

While savoring delicious food, we learned about the
 characteristics of each culture.

There are many cultures where gestures of respect are completely
opposite of those in Japan, which was surprising.
Understanding the culture correctly, and knowing what others value,
is what leads to peace. 

We're already good friends, but this was a fun get-together where we were 
able to take another step forward and understand each other better.

初金ミサに続いて、聖体賛美式も行われています

今回は、聖体賛美式の様子を動画にしました

聖マリアの浄配、聖ヨゼフは、賛美されますように。

インターナショナルミサ ＆ 交流会

年間の予定で、第５週がある月は、その第５週目の日曜日にインターナショナルミサを捧げています

８月の第５週は、野田町教会で合同のインターナショナルミサでした

インターナショナルミサの基本の言語は日本語ですが、

第１・第２朗読、共同祈願は、外国の言葉で唱え、奉納と拝領の歌は英語、タガログ語でうたっています

第2朗読はベトナム語で読まれました

共同祈願は、日本語、英語、ベトナム語、タガログ語で

ミサの後には、インターナショナル交流会が準備されていて

ベトナム、フィリピン、韓国、ルワンダ、アメリカ、日本から代表的なお料理がふるまわれました。

韓国(奥)、日本のお料理コーナーも大盛況

美味しいお料理に舌包みをうちながら、それぞれの文化の特徴を聞きました

尊敬を表すしぐさが日本と真逆の文化もたくさんあって、驚きとともに、

文化を正しく知ること、相手が大切にしていることを知ることは、

平和につながっていました

普段から仲良くしてますが、また一歩踏み込んでお互いを理解し合えた、楽しい交流会になりました

今週も皆さんのうえに

　　神様の豊かなお恵みがありますように
